SatBroadcasting™: Bringing GOD TV Africa To Millions

January 9, 2015

[SatNews] ViewSat provides satellite distribution for a variety of channels from start-ups to established broadcasters.

Specializing in religious content distribution, ViewSat has recently worked in partnership with GOD TV Africa to help it meet its vision of reaching "One Billion" people across the continent. As a Global Ministry, GOD TV provides daily Christian content to millions of viewers on the African continent, broadcasting from Jerusalem where its Broadcast HQ is situated. The television channel operates on a 24-hour basis and presents world-class programming for the whole family.

ViewSat works in partnership with new channels from initial set-up through to distribution of content making sure that customers feel fully supported along the way. Whilst GOD TV is a global television network with more than 264 million connected homes, GOD TV Africa has been expanding its footprint on the continent to over 20 million connected homes since it was launched in 2002.

ViewSat has played a significant role to ensure GOD TV Africa reaches their broadcasting goal of having world-class programming in every television household in Africa. ViewSat provides the technical support to do this and has also played an important role in GOD TV Africa’s marketing and awareness campaigns through West Africa, as well as in South Africa. One of the significant ways ViewSat helped was by marketing GOD TV on their promo channel, which introduced GOD TV to countless new viewers. The platform enables people across Africa to receive GOD TV through a standard dish and free-to-air decoder. This makes the 24-hour channel available and easily accessible in all corners of the continent.

Marcel Olivier, Regional Director of GOD TV Africa comments, “ViewSat has helped GOD TV Africa reach new viewers around the continent and their assistance with our marketing campaigns has been invaluable. This has meant that we are expanding our presence in countries that we were not able to reach previously. They have served us in various ways to reaching our goals. We are pursuing new avenues in West Africa and ViewSat plays an integral part of this new development.”
