Ross Video is now shipping its new Carbonite Mid-Size production switcher, well ahead of schedule. When the Carbonite series was introduced at NAB 2011 it was announced that shipments would commence in mid-August 2011. More than 65 show visitors who were eager to receive this product placed orders on the NAB show floor to be sure of delivery before the end of September. Ross Video stepped up to the plate by adding additional engineering and QA test resources to improve upon the target ship date. As a result, Carbonite is now shipping a full month ahead of the published schedule. All four Carbonite models are now shipping and the company is confident that the pre-ordered systems on backlog will be shipped before the end of August.
