On September 1, 2026, broadcast solutions provider iKO Media Group (iKOMG) announced a multi-year partnership with Spanish media group Atresmedia to distribute three international television networks across Latin America.
The deployment utilizes a hybrid satellite and IP distribution model delivered in collaboration with Eutelsat via the Eutelsat 117 West A satellite orbital neighborhood.
Platform Integration and Hybrid Delivery Architecture
Under the agreement, iKOMG will manage primary contribution, signal processing, and regional downlinking for Atrescine, dedicated to Spanish-language cinema; Atreseries Internacional, featuring Spanish scripted series; and ¡HOLA! TV, an international entertainment and lifestyle network.
Linear feeds are ingested at iKOMG’s central broadcast facilities, where automated encoding and encryption management are applied prior to uplink transmission to the 117° West geostationary position. The hybrid distribution framework combines C-band satellite transponder capacity on Eutelsat 117 West A with managed IP paths to ensure broadcast-grade redundancy across regional cable headends and direct-to-home (DTH) operators.
The agreement builds on iKOMG’s expansion of hybrid satellite and cloud delivery services and leverages the established reach of Eutelsat 117 West A as a primary video distribution platform across Latin America.
