The CM100 terminal is purpose-built to comply with International Maritime Organization (IMO) Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) requirements while optimizing space and power consumption:
- Network Architecture: Harnesses the weather-resilient L-band satellite network to provide global coverage, including polar Sea Area A4 regions.
- Safety Services: Integrates mandatory distress alerting, safety voice calls, Maritime Safety Information (MSI) broadcasts, and Ship Security Alert System (SSAS) functions into a single console.
- Form Factor: Features an omnidirectional, low-profile antenna and low-power transceiver unit engineered for rapid installation on constrained vessel decks.

The launch of the CM100 makes Intellian the first ground segment manufacturer to offer dedicated hardware across all Iridium Certus service tiers.
