KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) has officially incorporated KVH Industries Asia Pte. Ltd., the company’s Singapore-based subsidiary. Also known as KVH Singapore, the new business unit equips the company to support the growing demand for KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband(sm) satellite communications service and TracVision® satellite TV systems and services in the region’s extensive maritime market.
“We expect that KVH Singapore will play a crucial role in bringing our mini-VSAT Broadband service to the commercial maritime market. Singapore serves as one of the world’s pre-eminent hubs for the commercial shipping business and a diverse group of international maritime operators while the region itself is home to more than two-thirds of the world’s 20 busiest seaports,” explained Jim Dodez, KVH‘s vice president of marketing and strategic planning. “We are now more effectively placed to pursue these opportunities, seek out new business in the region’s shipbuilding industry, and support our local and regional distribution partners.”
