Thales Communications, Inc. has formed a new operating entity focused on broadening the company’s offerings to the U.S. Department of Defense. A wide range of C4ISR (part of the Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) domain technology, including optronics, will now be marketed and supported in the U.S. through an expansion of the Thales Communications organization.

The service is called “Direct to Sailor” TV (DTS-TV) and the broadcasts are under the umbrella of the Naval Media Center (NMC).
