Global Invacom Group Limited (GIGL) announced on Tuesday, April 21, that its wholly-owned UK subsidiary has entered into a worldwide exclusive distribution agreement with Premix-Hadlock, a GMR Company.

The agreement, signed on April 13, grants Global Invacom the primary representation of the Prodelin (formerly CPI) range of Sheet Moulding Composite (SMC) antennas. The partnership focuses on providing professional-grade ground station equipment for the VSAT, cellular backhaul, and government defense markets.
Expanding Ground Segment Solutions and Legacy Context
The Prodelin antenna line has been a staple of the satellite ground segment for over two decades, previously manufactured under the Communications & Power Industries (CPI) brand before being acquired by GMR Companies’ Premix-Hadlock division.
This agreement marks a significant consolidation of the supply chain, as GIGL integrates these high-durability reflectors into its existing portfolio of RF electronics. By securing exclusive rights for an initial period of two and a half years, Global Invacom positions itself as a single-source provider for operators requiring standardized, operator-approved ground hardware.
Technical Specifications and System Integration
The Prodelin range includes professional SMC antennas spanning from 1.2 meters to 3.8 meters for transmit and receive applications, and up to 4.5 meters for receive-only configurations. These antennas are approved for use on both the Intelsat and Eutelsat satellite fleets and cover C-, Ku-, Ka-, and X-band frequencies.
GIGL intends to market these antennas alongside its award-winning XRJ transceiver, a multi-orbit (GEO/MEO/LEO) component that integrates the functionality of a BUC, LNB, OMT, and feed into a single IP-67 rated package to optimize size, weight, and power (SWaP-C).
Strategic Value for Defense and Government Sectors
“High-quality SMC antennas remain vital for a number of important applications, especially for government and defence,” stated Gordon Blaikie, CEO of Global Invacom Group. “By adding these antennas to our portfolio, we are able to serve our customers with a wider range of options, while complementing the offering with our existing range and technical know-how.”
Tony Giancola, President & CEO of GMR Companies, added that Global Invacom’s global reach and 30-year heritage made them the natural partner to bring the Prodelin range to the broader international market.
Exhibition and Financial Outlook
Global Invacom will showcase its expanded antenna and RF electronics portfolio at the Satellite Asia exhibition from May 20–22 in Singapore. Regarding the financial impact of the deal, the Group stated that the agreement is not expected to have a material impact on earnings per share or net tangible assets for the current financial year ending December 31, 2026, though it significantly broadens the company’s addressable market in the professional VSAT sector.
