On August 12, 2026, microwave component manufacturer KRYTAR, Inc. introduced two new wideband directional couplers operating across the 7 to 24 GHz frequency range, spanning C-band through K-band spectrum.

Designated as Model 107024010 and Model 107024020, the compact stripline units are designed for system applications requiring external leveling, signal monitoring, signal mixing, or swept transmission measurements across satellite communications (SATCOM), millimeter-wave (mmWave), electronic warfare, and radar platforms.
Wideband Electrical Metrics and SATCOM Applications
Both models feature a compact enclosure measuring 1.12 inches in length, 0.53 inches in width, and 0.64 inches in height, weighing 1.1 ounces with an operational temperature rating from -54°C to +85°C. Power handling across both designs is rated at 20 Watts average and 3 Kilowatts peak, equipped with standard 3.5mm female connectors and optional 3.5mm male configurations.
Model 107024010 delivers a nominal coupling of 10 dB (±0.5 dB) with a frequency sensitivity of ±0.3 dB, insertion loss below 1.2 dB, directivity exceeding 13 dB, and a maximum Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) of 1.4 across all ports. Model 107024020 provides a nominal coupling of 20 dB (±1.0 dB) with ±0.3 dB frequency sensitivity, insertion loss under 0.8 dB, directivity greater than 14 dB, and a maximum VSWR of 1.4.
Target Subsystems and Commercial Availability
The product release builds upon KRYTAR’s heritage in developing compact directional couplers and ultra-broadband couplers for space-constrained RF architectures. The devices comply with European Union RoHS-6 environmental requirements and are qualified for satellite transponders, 5G New Radio (5G NR), Wi-Fi 6/6E, radar, antenna beamforming networks, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing environments.
