On August 12, 2026, space infrastructure provider Redwire Corporation announced a strategic teaming agreement with Japanese trading and commercial development firm Kanematsu Corporation.

Under the agreement, Kanematsu will serve as Redwire’s commercial partner in Japan, supporting business development across both public and private sector markets for space power generation systems, microgravity research payloads, and space robotics technology.
The partnership aims to integrate Redwire’s spaceflight hardware with Kanematsu’s commercial networks to support the expansion of Japan’s domestic space sector.
Formalization and Japanese Market Heritage
The agreement follows the initial signing executed by executive leadership on July 8, 2026, during the annual SPACETIDE space conference held at Kanematsu Headquarters in Tokyo. The commercial framework establishes a direct distribution pathway for Redwire products into Japanese institutional and commercial space projects.
The initiative builds upon growing ties between Western space infrastructure developers and Japanese aerospace organizations.
