AQYR is ‘At Attention’ to the Needs of the Military and Government Represented at SOFIC Show

May 21, 2018

AQYR steps up with land terminal tactical SATCOM solutions used by military and defense,  foreign governments and military markets with the highly portable GBS and 2-way Ku- and Ka-band  auto-acquisition terminals deployed to provide increased access to full motion video, intelligence, geospatial information, mapping, weather and a variety of other large files required for successful team or mission support. These and many of their other products dedicated to assisting the specific needs of the military and government will be on display this week at SOFIC, May 21-24 in Tampa, Florida.

These intuitive, patented, easy to use auto-positioning systems are the result of 10 years of experience as the Tactical SATCOM Systems Division of Windmill International, Inc. The products have no ITAR restrictions and carry a Commodity Jurisdiction designation by the U.S. Department of State.

Relevant products to the Military and Defense sectors include the following products:

Designed and developed by AQYR in conjunction with U.S. Special Operation Forces, the AN/PRS-11 Suitcase Portable Receive Suite (SPRS) is a compact, lightweight Ka-Band satellite terminal designed for single-person transport and easy set up to enable access to the U.S. DoD GBS Network at the tactical edge. It has been verified to withstand a variety of adverse environmental conditions, including high humidity, blowing sand, rain, and extreme heat/cold. The SPRS has passed all MIL-STD-810G requirements.

The AN/PRS-11 SPRS has GBS broadcast reception capability — at up to 45Mb/sec — from UHF Follow-On (UFO) and Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) transponders. The SPRS integrates with all High-Assurance IP Encryption (HAIPE) devices to support single and dual security enclaves from Secret up to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) classification. Satellite acquisition time is less than 5 minutes and the SPRS operates continuously for over 8 hours on a single BA-2590 battery. This truly portable unit weighs just 31 pounds in tactical carry mode. Accessible GBS products include unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) video and imagery; weather, terrain, geospatial and mapping information; Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) imagery; streaming video, web content replication and other large files. The SPRS has been fielded as a critical ISR platform since 2007 with Special Operation Forces worldwide.

The AN/PRS-11 SPRS also has an optional parabolic dish upgrade packaged as an accessory kit. The 60cm dish is designed to augment the  current flat panel when you need to increase your signal gain 275%, ~4.5dB or better. Traditionally used when signal attenuation to weather effect or Edge-of-Beam conditions require additional signal gain.

The AQYR KA-PRT (Portable Receive Terminal) is a highly portable Ka-Band receive terminal that revolutionizes the way in-the-field communicators operate. It brings operations center information to the teams or to the individuals, in austere locations or where they need it most. The products have no ITAR restrictions and carry a Commodity Jurisdiction designation by the US Department of State.

The ultra-lightweight, compact design delivers much needed capabilities to support full-spectrum operations. The system operates over military Ka-Band, or can be configured to operate over commercial Ka-band satellites, providing both low cost and wide bandwidth the world over. The rapid set up, short signal acquisition time, and simple user interface enables un-trained communicators to immediately get the information they need most.

The KA-PRT by AQYR contributes to team modernization, helps improve situational awareness and survivability by delivering unparalleled bandwidth for Full Motion Video — Intelligence, Geospatial Information, Mapping, Weather and a variety of other large files required for successful team or mission support.

The KA-PRT also has an optional parabolic dish upgrade packaged as an accessory kit. The 60cm dish is designed to augment the  current flat panel when you need to increase your signal gain 275 percent, ~4.5dB or better.

The AN/PRS-12 GBS ultra-lightweight Rucksack Portable Receive Suite (RPRS) revolutionizes the way warfighters operate. It brings command center information to the operational combat teams or to the individual warfighter, in austere locations where they need it most.

The AN/PRS-12 is a follow-on design of the features and capability of the successful AN/PRS-11 Suitcase Portable Receive Suite. Offering a more compact pedestal design and RBM system, the AN/PRS-12 stows into a standard-issue Rucksack.

Designed and developed by AQYR in conjunction with Air Force, GBS Joint Program Office (JPO), the AN/PRS-12 Rucksack Portable Receive Suite (RPRS) is a compact, ultra-lightweight Ka-Band satellite terminal designed for single-person transport and easy set up to enable access to the U.S. DoD GBS Network at the tactical edge. It has been verified to withstand a variety of adverse environmental conditions, including high humidity, blowing sand, rain, and extreme heat/cold. The RPRS has passed all MIL-STD-810G requirements.

The AN/PRS-12 RPRS has GBS broadcast reception capability — at up to 45Mb/sec –from UHF Follow-On (UFO) and Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) transponders. The RPRS integrates with all High-Assurance IP Encryption (HAIPE) devices to support single and dual security enclaves from Secret up to Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) classification. Satellite acquisition time is less than 5 minutes and the SPRS operates continuously for over 8 hours on a single BA-2590 battery. This portable unit weighs 22 pounds in tactical carry mode. Accessible GBS products include unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) video and imagery; weather, terrain, geospatial and mapping information; Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) imagery; streaming video, web content replication and other large files.
