The Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and the Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG) today announced they will be jointly hosting a series of sessions, courtesy of SES, at IBC.
These sessions are aimed at all those involved with Satellite Transmissions, RF Systems, Uplinking and Satellite News Gathering. With the theme, Safeguarding Your Transmission Operation, these sessions will offer practical advice to broadcasters, operators, and manufacturers alike. The sessions are aimed at educating participants, as well as answering a number of important questions, such as: “What are we trying to fix?”; “How do I, as a Broadcaster, Safeguard my Transmission Operation?”; “Why and what does any Uplinker need to do?”, as well as any other questions presented by the audience. Learn how industry associations are working together on a suite of initiatives to support the broadcast community, including spectrum reliability, uplink operator skills and productivity, equipment certifications, quality accreditations and certifications, and access predictability.

The Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG) is an organization working to reduce satellite frequency interference. The Group’s membership is comprised of satellite operators, users, uplinkers, service providers, equipment vendors and other organizations with a stake in combating radio frequency interference.
