Integrasys' Satmotion Pocket Testing is Successful on iDirect Velocity VSAT Platform

Integrasys has announced that the firm's Satmotion Pocket auto-commissioning tool is being tested on iDirect Velocity, a highly scalable Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) platform to deliver managed service offerings across a wide array of markets, which is used by many of the largest satellite operators including Intelsat, SES and Inmarsat.

Satmotion Pocket is an easy-to-use tool for simplifying the VSAT commissioning process. It runs as a simple mobile application and ensures that installers are able to accurately set up VSAT antennas while drastically reducing deployment time and the risk of errors.

Ideal for high throughput satellite (HTS) operators, iDirect Velocity enables massive scale, global bandwidth management and advanced mobility. By using Satmotion Pocket, iDirect Velocity users can ensure that all their VSAT remote sites across the entire network are set up quickly and accurately commissioned. This reduces time-to-market, maximizes network performance and minimizes operating expenses.

Satmotion Pocket has been successfully tested on iDirect Velocity and will be available with iDirect Velocity 2.0 software. At SATELLITE 2019, Integrasys will be demonstrating Satmotion Pocket in its booth #101 and visitors can see iDirect Velocity in the iDirect booth #901.

Alvaro Sanchez, CEO, Integrasys, commented that increasing demand for reliable bandwidth is leading to some large-scale HTS networks. iDirect Velocity is enabling those with the right tools to maximize network flexibility and lower total cost of ownership. By integrating Satmotion Pocket, the company can ensure customers don’t have to waste time and resources revisiting sites that are poorly commissioned.

Toni Kousiafes, Vice President, Product Management, VT iDirect stated that support for Satmotion Pocket on the iDirect Velocity platform enables the firm's customers to deploy new iDirect sites more cost-effectively and get their customers up and running quickly. The tool is intuitive and saves resources by allowing VSAT installers to autonomously commission remotes quickly and accurately, optimizing overall network performance.
