Nominations are now being accepted for the 2024 SIG Awards — individuals are invited to cast their nominations in the following categories: Innovation of the Year, Cooperation of the Year, Educational Project of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year.
SIG is a membership organization that seeks to promote innovation while improving operational cohesion to maximize industry potential within SATCOM. It provides a forum for discussion between industry operators and professionals, as well as examining the challenges and opportunities emerging within the industry’s fast-paced transformation.
Previous winners include the DIFI Consortium, Atheras Analytics, Micro-Ant, Spaceport Cornwall, Quadsat, and Kacific Broadband Satellites.
The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2024. Winners will be announced at SIG’s Networking Reception which will take place in Washington DC on March 18, 2024.
Please note: Nominees must be 35 and under to be considered for the Young Engineer Award of the Year.

The Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) aims to promote innovation in the satellite communication industry to improve operational efficiency and reduce impact, saving time and money. As an open forum to generate innovative thinking, it enables the industry to come together and discuss current challenges. This helps manufacturers and service providers to deliver innovations and solutions that respond more precisely to those challenges. Those solutions will then be promoted through SIG channels, including events, website, social media, and in discussions with SIG’s industry network.
