[SatNews] The Airbus Corporate Foundation and Aviation Sans Frontières have transported clothing and medical supplies to Manila from Toulouse aboard the delivery flight of Cebu Air’s latest A330-300 aircraft.
The aircraft departed Toulouse on March 10 and arrived in the Philippine capital on March 11 loaded with 2.4 tonnes of goods collected by Aviation Sans Frontières and destined for World Vision, the international non-governmental organization and its Development Foundation.
The donations include new clothes and shoes for children and babies, teddy bears, pens and schoolbooks, as well as blankets and medical supplies such as masks, gloves, disinfectant wipes and surgical hoods. These will be forwarded to communities affected by severe flooding and typhoons in the Philippines.

Aviation sans Frontières has been a regular partner of the Airbus Foundation since 2008 for flights from Toulouse. This non-governmental organization supports Airbus humanitarian ferry flights from France to countries in need or which have been affected by natural disasters.

Our acceptance of Cebu Air's sixth Airbus A330 is made more meaningful as we transport much needed relief goods to the Philippines,” said Alex Reyes, General Manager, Cebu Air Long Haul Division.

In recent years, the Airbus Foundation has built up a global network of airlines and relief organizations to support international humanitarian causes. Delivery flights of new to be delivered aircraft have been used on numerous occasions to transport goods to destinations in need around the globe.
The Airbus Foundation was created to facilitate charitable activities worldwide within an international network of employees and partners. The organization focuses on supporting humanitarian missions worldwide and youth development in its local communities. Since its launch in December 2008, the Airbus Corporate Foundation has facilitated 40 relief or goodwill flights to numerous destinations around the globe.
