Winegard Company, offering mobile satellite and antenna solutions, has donated one its new SPA 1200 VSAT antennas to Samaritan’s Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization which provides aid to people around the world who are victims or war, poverty, natural disasters, and disease. Samaritan’s Purse will deploy the SPA 1200 immediately in Haiti to support the organization’s relief efforts after the earthquake.
The state-of-the-art Winegard SPA (semi -permanent auto-acquire) 1200 is a motorized auto-acquiring, multi-platform VSAT antenna featuring multiple deployment sensors for quick signal acquisition, including a GPS, a compass and a tilt sensor. The auto-acquire antenna significantly reduces the amount of set up time and training required needed to establish a VSAT connection.
