HD SNG Treated Extremely Well By Fujitsu With New IP-9500e Firmware Release
The latest revision of the IP-9500e MPEG-4 AVC encoder has just been announced by Fujitsu Computer Products of America. The revision 3.1 firmware expands the IP-9500’s capabilities for HD SNG apps, combining a robust, cost-effective solution for full HD video capture over DVB-ASI and IP with the IP-9500’s 300-millisecond total latency. The revision 3.1 firmware extends the IP-9500e’s satellite transmission capabilities and incorporates an enhanced feature set to cost-effectively meet broadcasters’ real-time content delivery needs. Additionally, the IP-9500 uses auto-sensing 10T/100T/1G Ethernet for IP connectivity as well as ASI I/O ports for connecting to DVB networks. The unit also provides industry standard HD-SDI and HDMI I/Os for connecting to HDTV camcorders and displays. Encoder latency is selectable between standard and low-latency modes allowing the IP-9500 to be used in delay-sensitive ENG applications. A bi-directional voice intercom capability is provided across broadband networks for interactive communications between remote and studio locations.Fujitsu will demonstrate the IP-9500 with revision 3.1 firmware during the HD World Conference & Expo, October 15th thru 16th, 2008, at booth #825, at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
