  • BUSINESS — Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company Limited (AsiaSat) has appointed Mr. Zhang Hai Ming as its new General Manager China. Mr. Zhang will oversee all AsiaSat’s marketing, sales and customer relations activities in the Mainland China market, to continue driving business development and strengthening service support to customers in China. Mr. Zhang possesses more than 20 years’ solid experience and a distinguished record in the satellite industry. He has worked with Echostar, Lockheed Martin, Skywave TV (an 80 percent owned subsidiary of AsiaSat) and China Mobile Broadcasting Satellite in various management positions, covering areas in business development, sales and marketing, and operations.
