Joining forces are IEC Telecom and its Dubaï subsidiary SAFA Telecom, as the company has acquired a majority stake in DEVOR technologies and intends to sell and support value-added products and services into Asia. DEVOR Technologies has been providing installation and commissioning services around satcom products on board all types of vessels in Singapore and throughout southeast Asia. In November of last year, IEC Telecom was appointed as a Master global distributor for all Thuraya data products (i.e., Thuraya DSL, Thuraya IP). DEVOR will provide support on all of these products and services and also offer all Thuraya, Inmarsat and Iridium product ranges. Plus, SIM cards (pre- and post-paid subs) may now be activated on a 7/7 basis. IEC Telecom is based in Paris, France, and DEVOR Technologies in Singapore.
