On August 18, 2026, satellite communications and network software vendor Integrasys announced it was awarded two defense research and development contracts in Luxembourg valued at €2.89 million combined.
Funded through a joint initiative by the Luxembourg Ministries of Defence, Economy, and Research, the projects focus on anti-jamming capabilities, automated network protection, and space domain awareness (SDA) for assets in geostationary orbit (GEO).
System Architecture and Technical Specifications
Integrasys will participate as both project lead and technology partner across two distinct technical tracks:
- DEPCON (Defence Communications Protection): Led by Integrasys alongside the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), this project develops intelligent systems for automated detection, classification, and mitigation of intentional interference across terrestrial, radio, and satellite communications networks.
- HYDRA: Executed in partnership with LMO Space and LIST, HYDRA focuses on protecting strategic GEO satellites. The architecture combines optical sensors, radio frequency (RF) monitoring payloads, onboard AI processing, and secure inter-satellite links (ISLs) to detect electronic warfare (EW) attacks and proximity operations by non-cooperative satellites in real time.

Regional Expansion Footprint
Integrasys secured the awards through its Luxembourg subsidiary, which operates as one of the company’s five European Centers of Excellence. The Luxembourg projects build on the company’s previous satellite virtualization initiatives supported by the Luxembourg Space Agency and LuxInnovation. Integrasys plans to roll out the developed threat detection software across its European operations, which include technical facilities in Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Ukraine, and Germany.
