
Good timing in predicting Florida’s weather as SpaceX’s Falcon 9 successfully sent 28 smallsats of Starlink of Group 6-80 on Monday, March 31 to low-Earth orbit after being scrubbed on Sunday from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This further increased the smallsat constellation that SpaceX is constructing.

The first stage booster was successful in landing, making this touchdown its 17th flight that previously launched Ax-2, Euclid, Ax-3, CRS-30, SES ASTRA 1P, NG-21, and 10 Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage landed on the Just Read the Instructions droneship stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX is targeting Monday, March 31 for a Falcon 9 launch of 28 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit after being scrubbed on Sunday from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. An official reason for Sunday’s scrub was not provided, but another round of storms are moving into the area from the west.
