Getting serious in addressing the issues of cybersecurity risks and countering the onslaught of focused attacks faced by critical information infrastructure (CII) has resulted in ST Engineering investing in Radiflow, a leading provider of industrial cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure based in Israel.
This partnership enables ST Engineering to access Radiflow’s detection and prevention tools, of which its Electronics sector will integrate with its Command, Control and Communications (C3) capabilities – in this instant the rail supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The combining of these two technologies has resulted in the development of the region’s first end-to-end cybersecurity solution for the rail transport industry.

With the seamless, cross-platform integration of ST Engineering Electronic’s Rail C3 Systems (SCADA) and Radiflow’s Intrusion Detection System, global rail operators can now look forward to a consolidated overview and analysis of cyber events as well as a strengthened ability to differentiate between genuine Industrial Control Systems (ICS) failure and cyber-attacks. This will result in enhanced collaborative effort between the SCADA and cybersecurity teams to address any incidents, leading to a quicker response time.
