We at Satnews are saddened to learn that our company's leading senior contributor and globally-recognized journalist, Jos Heyman, has passed away following extended illnesses in his home of Perth, Australia.
Jos succumbed to his illnesses on September 30th in Perth. He was born in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. His funeral will be conducted on October 10th.
Jos was the Managing Director of Tiros Space Information, a Western Australian consultancy that specialized in the dissemination of information on the scientific exploration and commercial application of space for use by educational as well as commercial organizations. An accountant by profession, Jos was the editor of the TSI News Bulletin and was also a regular contributor to the British Interplanetary Society’s Spaceflight journal as well as to the daily news at satnews.com, SatMagazine and MilsatMagazine.
We thank Jos and his wife, Noni, for being a truly substantial part of the Satnews family and to Jos for his columns and expertise within the space and satellite worlds. We shall miss his presence…
