XTAR, LLC, a provider of satellite communications solutions to the U.S. government and allied forces, has named Carolyn Cuppernull and Patti Aston as sales directors. The additional staff was required to support the company’s growth serving the unique mission requirements of U.S. government and non-U.S. government users worldwide. Ms. Cuppernull and Ms. Aston will develop future business as XTAR continues to expand its global reach and diversify its customer base.
Ms. Cuppernull will take the position of Director of Sales and Business Development to enhance XTAR’s brand to the government community. She brings more than 20 years of experience in government-focused sales and marketing. Ms. Cuppernull graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism.
Ms. Aston will also hold the title of Director of Sales and Business Development to help increase XTAR’s growth and presence in the satellite industry.
Patti Aston is XTAR's Director of Sales & Business Development specific to the satellite industry.
She will leverage her more than 20 years of experience in North American satellite sales and marketing management. Ms. Aston earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the George Washington University.

XTAR, LLC, a privately owned and operated company sells X-band services to support both U.S. and Allied government users. The company’s first satellite, XTAR-EUR, went into service at 29 degrees East in April 2005, while XTAR-LANT entered service in April 2006 at 30 degrees West. With coverage from Denver east to Singapore, XTAR’s satellites provide Fixed Satellite Services (FSS) and “on-the-move” capability for mobile command posts, security and disaster response, and small ships and airborne relay sensor data.
