The South East Asia regional oil & gas industry, including the Malaysian exploration and production (E&P) segment, continues to be one of the most dynamic in the exploration for new offshore hydrocarbon reserves, especially in deepwater zones which carry with them the highest E&P operating costs. This supports the oil & gas industry focus on the communications of the key regional and global energy companies that joined with the international satellite communications industry to in the successful GVF Oil & Gas Communications South East Asia: Redefining the Digital Oilfield Onshore, Offshore, Deep & Ultra-Deepwater Conference.
Organized and produced by Global VSAT Forum (GVF) and United Kingdom Event Management Partners (UK-EMP), the 2nd Annual Oil & Gas Communications South East Asia Conference (O&GCSEA2009) took place at the Kuala Lumpur Crowne Plaza Mutiara Hotel, Malaysia, November 17-18. Following the Kuala Lumpur event, GVF and UK-EMP have announced that their current offer of free conference registration for relevant vertical market professionals will be continued for the next event in their various industry-specific communications conference series, the 2nd Annual Broadband Maritime South East Asia: New Communications Networking Offshore & the High Seasconference, taking place February 23rd to 24th, 2010, at the Marina Mandarin hotel in Singapore. At the Broadband Maritime event, which will be held in association withInmarsat and Hughes, free-of-charge admission to the conference will be provided for shipping and ship management companies, and ship owners/operators across the container vessel, cruise line, and ferry operator segments, and to port authorities.
