Over the past few weeks, the team at Satnews has been hard at work to bring you some new features as well as site improvements. We hope you enjoy these changes and welcome any suggestions or comments you might wish to send to us regarding the “new” Satnews. The alterations include…
- Content Filtering—With the plethora of exciting satellite news emanating from many diverse segments of our industry and various regions of the world, we felt it was time to to “sort it all out”. New to the news section of our site is “News By Topic” and “News By Region“. These filters offer you a wide range of categories to pinpoint the news that is of the most interest to you. Whether you are seeking news on European developments, or Service Providers in Asia, we hope these new categories make your key interests far easier to locate and digest
- Feeds & Content Syndication—For the past few years, Satnews, through the use of RSS 2.0, has provided feeds for news aggregators and blogs. In this most resent overhaul of our site, we have introduced feeds for not only each of our news topics and regions, but also for our Calendar Of Events and the new Statistics section of our site. In total, we now host 16 unique RSS feeds. Additionally, we have changed our feed licensing policy to allow anyone the rights to syndicate any of our feeds on their website or blog. For example, it is now easy to add daily updated news or a calendar of satellite events to your own website. For additional information on Satnews Feeds and Syndication please visit https://satnews.com/feeds.shtml.
- Statistics—Often the process of finding specific data on a given topic can be cumbersome, slow, and frustrating. Sorting through thousands of articles, or contacting several companies for data, is also time consuming. We have now designed our statistics section to ease the pain involved in locating the appropriate data. Reports and Statistics are aggregated from our magazines as well as by many of the companies we work with to bring you freshly updated information. Click Here to see current stats.
