There’s been much discussion regarding the BADR sat and iDirect TV coverage. Word comes to us that an agreement between Talia and Arabsat has resulted in Talia’s signing a long-term lease of capacity on Arabsat’s brand new BADR-6 satellite. Focused over the Middle East and Africa, the BADR-6 C-band wide coverage will be used to provide new iDirect and dedicated services to Talia customers throughout the entire region.
Talia finds it critical to provide iDirect services throughout the Middle East and North Africa, and the agreement offers them the opportunity to enter the sub-Saharan African market. Talia services on BADR-6 will provide shared and dedicated connectivity to enterprise, corporate, Non Government Organizations (NGO), and channel customers throughout the Middle East and African markets, for both Internet and closed-network solutions.
