A $16.8 million contract mod has been assigned to Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne Inc. by NASA. The company is involved in the space shuttle main engine manufacture and this mod is to incorporate an employee retention plan, with incentives being provided to eligible personnel to ensure mission success and construction of the remaining engines to support shuttle requirements through September of 2010. This contract will end on September 30th in 2010 and the total value of the contract, which was originally awarded in January of 2002, is $2.181 billion.
