The SPACECONNECTION has just concluded a multi-year agreement with Telesat for the provision of Occasional Use (“OU”) satellite capacity on the Anik fleet of satellites. Occasional use capacity is used by broadcasters, cable programmers, business television, and distance learning clients for remote collection and broad dissemination of breaking news, live sports, and other content needed on a priority basis. With the recent acquisition of 5DTV, Canada’s largest OU reseller, SPACECONNECTION is now able to offer enhanced satellite and fiber options to customers throughout North America. The SPACECONNECTION will maintain an Ottawa sales office and hire former 5DTV account representatives to assure service continuity for the company’s new Canadian customers. The SPACECONNECTION’s Canadian clients will benefit from access to Telesat’s Anik fleet of satellites, plus additional access to a wide range of North American and international satellite inventory—North Hollywood, California
