
Additional Hands On ISS Work Awarded To ARES
Last Wednesday, ARES Corporation (Houston, Texas) was awarded a one-year contract extension by NASA for services required to continue the development and operation of the International Space Station (ISS). Worth $25.7 million, this one-year extension brings the value of the contract to $151.8 million. ARES Corporation has held the ISS’ program integration and control contracts since January of 2004. This extension is the first two such options provided for in the original contract. What does ARES provide? The company works on integrated vehicle performance and risk management, configuration and schedule management, information technology management, resource analysis, and cost estimating services. Additional major subcontractors include Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Barrios Technology (Houston, Texas). More
