A Synapse render-only product for Quantel as just been released by VDS, a developer of broadcast automation software. VDS’ Synapse allows the Quantel operator direct, interactive use of hundreds of pro-grade plug-ins from within the Pablo, iQ, gQ, eQ, QPaintbox and QEffects environments. The Synapse Renderer address the need for Quantel’s braodcast editing products including sQ Edit, sQ Cut and the laptop editor, Marko, to be able to render out pre-cated templates using plug-in effects. Until now, these systems requierd full feature Synapse and plug-in licenses, making it impractical to include plug-in effects in the templates. Initially, the Synapse Rendere is available with GenArts Sapphier V2 plug-ins.
