DataPath, Inc. has added baseband solutions for its mobile satellite communications (SATCOM) networks to the General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 contract (number GS-35F-0424T). DataPath baseband solutions are scalable, modular systems that feature split NIPRnet and SIPRnet architecture, Cisco routers, Cisco switches for IPv6 support, optional Cisco Call Manager Express, and the DataPath IP Accelerator for improved throughput. Each package can be customized and housed in several ways, including in shelters and rugged transit cases.
Two new solutions are now available on the GSA Schedule contract. There’s the Small Baseband Package for as many as 200 users, which can be deployed with a mobile SATCOM terminal or wireless solution and set up in less than 15 minutes to provide access to voice, video and data in locations that lack a permanent communications infrastructure. Another choice is the Medium Baseband Package for as many as 500 users, designed to act as a hub for smaller communications systems or as a standalone communications center. This package can also be deployed in less than 15 minutes with a variety of mobile SATCOM terminal or wireless solutions for robust communications anywhere. The solutions complement DataPath SATCOM or wireless networks, including its trailer-based and transportable SATCOM systems currently listed on the GSA Schedule—Duluth, Georgia
