John Bitove is Canadian Satellite Radio’s (CSR) controlling shareholder (CSR is also known as XM Canada). He also is in charge of the Priszm KFC fast-food restaurant trust (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Long John Silvers franchises throughout Canada). He has a great deal on his plate and has decided to move away from CSR to devote more time to his other business ventures. Replacing him as the CEO of CSR will be Michael Moskowitz. Michael was, previously, the chief of Canadian, Latin American and Caribbean operations at Palm, Inc. This appointment becomes effective January 1st, 2008. He takes over at a time when CSR has reported a lost of $84.6 million in the year ended August 31st, on revenue of $21.2 million, all the while its subscriber base more than doubled to 306,300.
