Last Tuesday, the category 5 hurricane known as Felix devastated Northern Nicaragua, with the potential disaster victims to exceed 500,000 in number. Télécoms Sans Frontières has once again responded with emergency satphone communications, while continuing their work in Pisco, Peru. Logisticians from the organization arrived in the country to provide assistance to relief organizations and UN agencies by deploying communication centers in Puerto Cabezas. These installations include Inmarsat terminals, BGAN, GAN, M4, Minis M and laptops.
