On August 5, 2026, European space safety provider Neuraspace announced €15.6 million ($17.1 million) in new financing to expand its artificial intelligence platform and dual-use Space Domain Awareness (SDA) assets. The investment round combines private venture capital from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments, and Armilar Venture Partners with public grant funding awarded under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
The capital will fund the expansion of Neuraspace’s proprietary optical sensing network, accelerate autonomous satellite maneuver operations, and scale NeuraspaceDEF, the company’s dedicated service for defense and institutional customers.
Revenue Growth and Defense Contracts
Headquartered in Portugal with operational offices in Germany and Luxembourg, Neuraspace reported revenue growth exceeding 350% over the past year. The company currently monitors more than 600 satellites in Earth orbit.
Its commercial roster includes monitoring agreements with Spire Global, GEOSAT, NanoAvionics, Sidus Space, U-Space, and the European Space Agency. In the defense domain, Neuraspace holds active contracts with the Portuguese Air Force and NATO, and was recently selected as a prime contractor by a European Ministry of Defence.
Software and Sensor Data Fusion Platform
Neuraspace’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architecture combines tracking data from proprietary and external commercial sensors with high-precision orbit determination. The platform provides automated operational support across several operational areas:
- Conjunction Assessment: Machine learning algorithms evaluate orbital trajectories to generate collision probability alerts and fuel-optimized avoidance maneuvers.
- Threat Environment Detection: Analytics identify intentional electronic warfare hazards, including radio-frequency interference, global navigation satellite system (GNSS) spoofing, and signal jamming.
- Sensor Data Fusion: Integrates optical telescope, radar, and laser range-finding telemetry to support dual-use defense requirements and reduce European reliance on external space surveillance data.

Sovereign Infrastructure Rollout
Neuraspace will use the capital to deploy additional optical ground stations across key global sites, strengthening European sovereign sensing capability. The company plans to scale software engineering and astrodynamics teams across its Lisbon, Luxembourg, and German offices to support defense integration projects.
