ANYANG, South Korea – Global Konet Co., Ltd., a developer of electronically scanned array (ESA) technology, announced on Wednesday that it has officially obtained KS Q 9100 and AS 9100D certifications. These international standards are the benchmark for quality management systems (QMS) within the aerospace, space, and defense sectors.

The certification covers the company’s full-cycle processes—ranging from design and manufacturing to verification—of wireless communication devices and electronic phased array satellite terminals. To achieve AS 9100D status, Global Konet had to demonstrate compliance with over 100 requirements beyond standard ISO 9001, including rigorous risk management, counterfeit part prevention, and product safety protocols required for the global aerospace supply chain.
Technical Reliability and ESA Performance
The company has recently focused on strengthening its quality systems for its Electronic Beam Steering (ESA) satellite communication devices. These systems are designed to operate under the harsh conditions typical of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), drones, and mobile defense platforms.
Global Konet’s technical portfolio includes:
- Omega2 ESA: A Ka-band phased array antenna weighing approximately 26 kg, providing full-duplex transmission and reception within a compact 100 x 70 x 8 cm form factor.
- Alpha2 ESA: A Ku-band terminal offering an Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) of 49 dBW, optimized for Communications-On-The-Move (COTM) applications.
- Dualsat ESA: Technology capable of tracking and communicating with two satellites simultaneously through a single aperture, a capability first demonstrated at Satellite 2025.
Strengthening Global Supply Chain Ties
“Obtaining AS9100D certification signifies that Global Konet has systematically secured the highly reliable satellite communication design and manufacturing technology required in the aerospace and defense industries,” said a company representative.
The achievement follows a series of strategic milestones for the firm, including a February 2025 contract to upgrade South Korean Marine Navy tactical trucks with flat-panel OTM ESA antennas and an October 2025 agreement for the development of overseas ESA Ku/Ka-band antennas.
Accelerating Export Initiatives
With the QMS verification complete, Global Konet intends to accelerate its expansion into the international market. The company is currently targeting the next-generation SATCOM, drone, and defense sectors in regions including the United States, Singapore, and the Middle East.
