AVIO and AIKO have renewed their strategic partnership. Earlier this year, AVIO joined the AIKO PARTNER PROGRAM to integrate gifted_GENE, the company’s AI-powered software for predictive maintenance, into their pre- and post-flight analysis workflows. What began as a focused pilot evolved into a strategic collaboration, transforming complex telemetry inspection and monitoring tasks into efficient, AI-supported processes.

Just six months later, gifted_GENE was successfully deployed during AVIO’s September 2024 VEGA launch campaign, delivering impactful results:
- 80% anomaly detection accuracy during the test flight
- Analysis in under 90 seconds on the tested telemetry set, proving the platform’s readiness for operational scenarios.
- Automated X-ray inspection, extending gifted_GENE’s capabilities beyond numerical data to image-based diagnostics.
These results confirm the platform’s capability to operate in one of the most complex and high-stakes environments in spaceflight, where accuracy, speed, and reliability are non-negotiable.
AVIO has selected AIKO again, confirming gifted_GENE as a valuable solution to support their launcher operations with data-driven telemetry analysis and AI-enhanced anomaly detection. This renewed commitment is not a symbolic partnership, but a clear recognition of delivered value and performance.
gifted_GENE is built to process high-volume telemetry data in real time, correlating streams across subsystems and predicting anomalies through a hybrid AI core that combines statistical, rule-based, and neural models. The platform is designed to be hardware-agnostic, cloud- or on-premises-ready, and open to third-party models and workflows.
For launcher operations, this means identifying structural, thermal, and dynamic anomalies helping engineering teams to overcome current performance in pre-launch testing and post-flight evaluations. Users can set their own thresholds and collaborate easily, both with their team and directly through the platform, thanks to shared dashboards and built-in smart features. This helps streamline analysis and speed up decision-making.
As the collaboration moves forward, AIKO and AVIO will continue to explore new applications of predictive maintenance and automation in launch operations, focusing on operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability with a clear vision: reduce risk, save time, and bring AI deeper into space launch operations.
