UPDATE #5: SpaceX is targeting Sunday, January 14 for a Falcon 9 launch of 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 7:27 p.m. ET, with backup opportunities available until 11:25 p.m. ET.

A live webcast of this mission will begin on X @SpaceX about five minutes prior to liftoff. Watch live.

This is the 12th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched SES-22, ispace’s HAKUTO-R Mission 1, Hispasat Amazonas Nexus mission, CRS-27, and seven Starlink missions. Following stage separation, the first stage will land on the A Shortfall of Gravitas droneship, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

UPDATE 4: SpaceX has another delay is targeting Sunday, January 14 for a Falcon 9 launch of Group 7-10’s 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Liftoff is targeted for 12:59 a.m. PT.

SpaceX is targeting Saturday, January 13 for a Falcon 9 launch of 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Liftoff is targeted for 7:52 p.m. ET, with backup opportunities available until 11:50 p.m. ET. If needed, additional opportunities are also available on Sunday, January 14 starting at 7:45 p.m. ET.

UPDATE 3: There’s another delay for SpaceX which is now targeting Saturday, January 13 for a Falcon 9 launch of group 7-10 22 Starlink communication satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

740 rockets have launched from Vandenberg.

Liftoff is targeted for 12:59 a.m. PT. at a launch cost of $52,000,000.

Weather Forecast During Launch

The forecast calls for a temperature of 54°F, few clouds, 24% cloud cover and a wind speed of 24mph.

UPDATE #2: SpaceX is targeting Friday, January 12 for a Falcon 9 launch of 22 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Liftoff is targeted for 12:59 a.m. PT.
SpaceX is citing unfavorable weather conditions for again delaying the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

This is the 18th flight for the first stage booster supporting this mission, which previously launched Crew-1, Crew-2, SXM-8, CRS-23, IXPE, Transporter-4, Transporter-5, Globalstar FM15, ISI EROS C-3, Korea 425 and seven Starlink missions.

After the launch, the rocket’s first-stage booster will return to land on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You, positioned in the Pacific Ocean. 

Starlink, designed and built by SpaceX, has thousands of satellites to deliver internet access across the globe, filling a need for areas where land-based service isn’t accessible or reliable.
