Satellogic Inc. (NASDAQ: SATL) has reached a three-year agreement with the Government of Albania to develop a Dedicated Satellite Constellation — this unique program derives from Satellogic’s Constellation-as-a-Service (CaaS) model and will provide Albania with responsive satellite imagery capabilities across its sovereign territory.
Satellogic’s offering enables municipal, state, and national governments to manage a fleet of satellites over a specific area of interest and develop an EO imaging program at unmatched frequency, resolution, and cost. Satellogic will enable Albania to address pressing issues involving agriculture management, illegal crops, illegal construction activity, traffic management, wildfire monitoring, border security, and environmental monitoring through high-quality imagery with country-wide capacity at a cost-effective price point.
Albania will have priority access to two satellites that will be named “Albania-1” and “Albania-2.” These satellites are expected to join Satellogic’s fleet in the company’s upcoming satellite launch with SpaceX.
Through Satellogic’s cloud infrastructure, Albania will have access to responsive tasking, analysis, and dissemination of critical insights and information. Satellogic will facilitate training of remote-sensing specialists within the Albanian Government to assist in the analysis and dissemination of satellite-derived products to various ministries in the country and build the capacity of the Albanian space economy.

The company has also revealed they are the recipient of a contract to monitor all subnational, protected areas on the planet through the new GREEN+ Jurisdictional Program.
The provision of reliable and consistent high-quality satellite data will be governed by the CC35 Capital Cities Secretariat, the Global Footprint Network and The Energy Coalition, among other respected stakeholders committed to conserving the Earth’s “last lungs.”
This critical information will enable individuals, organizations, and global markets to accurately monitor the compliance of signatory jurisdictions to avoid deforestation. In light of this new program that aims to monitor all global subnational areas by 2023 and will be presented at COP27. Governments such as the Mexican state of Nuevo León have committed to increase their protected areas to 30% to reach the United Nations’ 30×30 goal by 2030 and support the new Race to Conservation campaign.

Satellogic recently confirmed that SpaceX will continue to be its preferred vendor for rideshare missions, announcing a new Multiple Launch Agreement for 2023 and beyond, reserving launch capacity for its next 68 satellites.
