NovaWurks™ Inc., a provider of high technology space products and services, today announced that Talbot Jaeger, founder and chief technology officer at NovaWurks, will participate in the “Enabling Technologies That Will Improve the Performance of Small Sats” panel discussion on Small Sats Focus Day at Space Tech Expo 2015.
Jaeger, along with three other industry experts will present and discuss new technologies that could further improve performance and cost benefits for small satellites. The “Enabling Technologies That Will Improve the Performance of Small Sats” panel discussion takes place on Thursday, May 21 on the third day of the conference. The panel is from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM PDT.

Held in Long Beach, California, Space Tech Expo is an exposition and conference for space and satellite industries on the West Coast. For Jaeger’s presentation, he will specifically discuss the new satellite paradigm created by his company’s Hyper-Integrated Satlet (HISat™), a biologically inspired satlet technology that is changing the way space is approached.
“Based on cellular morphology, satellites of any size are built with increased flexibility at drastically reduced costs,” said Jaeger. “I hope to discuss, along with the other like-minded panelists, the trajectory of game-changing technologies like this that will enable a sustainable space based architecture for the future.”
NovaWurks provides space services for organizations to reach orbit using HISats, the company’s flagship technology platform. HISats can configure/aggregate to become a flexible and reliable spacecraft for a variety of mission purposes and provide a safe, rapid and cost-effective solution to reach space. NovaWurks is currently working on DARPA’s Phoenix Program to build satlet solutions in which the company’s HISats will be in use.
