Dynamic Link Restoration—When NovelSat SNO is used to monitor and manage a mixed terrestrial and satellite network, an alert can instruct the system to dynamically allocate satellite bandwidth to backup terrestrial links that fail for whatever the reason. The restoration bandwidth is managed as part of a pool for backup protection links.
Bandwidth on Demand (BoD)—Designed for occasional satellite users and other content-based, fully automated remote satellite service applications, where satellite bandwidth is allocated in real-time, NovelSat SNO can receive a request from a remote unit and automatically allocate available bandwidth that is returned to the bandwidth pool once the transmission requirement has ended.
Bandwidth Optimization and Prioritization—Rather than allocating precious satellite bandwidth for full-time access, the platform can dynamically allocate satellite bandwidth to specific applications and customers, so that service providers can meet their SLA requirements with the lowest possible bandwidth costs.
