Space and Satellite Regulatory Colloquium… Are You Aware Of These Latest?…(Event)

October 22, 2013

[SatNews] Did you know that the ITU will continue to carry out its frequency allocation, coordination and recoding functions, and unresolved disputes will end up in Geneva under the Swiss Chambers’ International Arbitration Rules?

Jones Day 7th floor conference center overlooking the capital building in Washington D.C.

If you’re attempting to determine whether you should reserve one of the very limited slots remaining for the Space and Satellite Regulatory Colloquium on Thursday, October 24th from 8 am until 6 pm. ask yourself if…

Do you already know… the U.S.’ laws about mining and resource extraction on the Moon and asteroids, and if they conflict with the Outer Space Treaty’s prohibition on appropriation?

Perhaps you already know that… the FAA’s space office jurisdictional mandate continues to increase through a series of legislative measures and internal FAA decisions with the big test being… who gets suborbital point-to-point transportation in the latter part of the next decade?

There’s no need to attend if you already know that… the FCC will continue to assert broad-based jurisdiction over space missions including, but not limited to, the communications aspects, to the extent that the activity is not regulated by other agencies, e.g., satellite servicing.

Or if you already know that… NOAA will be required to use commercial weather satellite data to the extent it is available and consistent with U.S. national and foreign policy interests; NOAA will license weather and increasingly more capable remote sensing satellites.

And you may already be aware that…the ITU will continue to carry out its vital frequency allocation, coordination and recoding functions. As for unresolved frequency disputes, the Radio Regulations Board will refer them to mandatory, binding arbitration in Geneva under the Swiss Chambers’ International Arbitration Rules.

Then again perhaps it might be in yours and your company’s best interest to be aware of the current laws and those under consideration in this vast space industry and its new frontiers.

We welcome all to The Space and Satellite Regulatory Colloquium to be held at the Jones Day Conference Facilities which is presented by SatNews in collaboration with ManSat and Jones Day. Be sure to sign up for this event on Thursday, October 24th from 8 am until 6 pm. Breakfast and lunch will be served and, at the conclusion, a reception will be held on the patio overlooking the Capitol Building with a wine tasting and cocktail hour. Reservations are rapidly filling, and it is recommended that you register here today.

These three agencies have been planning the event carefully, choosing the most respected and noteworthy specialists in their field. It is truly an elegant group of experts. For you to be able to network amongst them for this one day will certainly be a memory held for a lifetime.

There is much more, and those attending will be talking about this event for a long time. Register here to be a part of history in the making.

On October 24th, from 8 am until 6 pm, attendees will be in rapt attention gleaning words of wisdom from;
