[SatNews] The EUsatcom 2013 conference is a new type of fast-paced SATCOM event and, for the second year, provides a unique opportunity for everyone in the European satellite communications industry to join together to learn about major developments in the SATCOM industry, hear about highly-relevant customer cases, and extend professional and business networks. The event will focus special attention again this year to the emergence of the new generation Ka-band satellites and their increasing impact on applications in the market.
Satellites play an increasing role in connecting the world especially in our modern digital society and Robert Bell from the SSPI will address this theme at the opening of the conference.
The second topic of the day deals with the point that satellite connections are an inherent part of global IP-network infrastructures in the maritime, enterprise and government markets; and increasingly also in the broadcasting sector. Presentations dealing with cloud computing, link optimization, and multi-network solutions and their impact satellite solutions and services will be offered.
The third topic will look at the impact of the next generation of the internet—“the internet of things”, and one of the hot growth markets in telecommunications and satellite industry: M2M. A wide range of satellite M2M services are ready to meet this challenge. What are they and how do they see the market? A case story of the largest satellite M2M project in Europe will be presented.
EUsatcom 2013 is the perfect place to come and speak to renowned SATCOM specialists, to do business, meet new SATCOM industry players and value chain partners in Europe, extend your satellite business network, and identify new opportunities. Parallel to the conference there will also be a discussion how we can strengthen the ties within the European satcom professional community in a more structured framework.
The conference has a hybrid set up where all presentations are streamed live on the web in parallel to the real-time conference in Amsterdam,—social media, video and online voting to interact with our international audience will be used. The conference will be brought live to the audience via a number of international satcom websites and portals.
Sponsors of the event include Newtec, NLsatcom, Dutch chapter of the Society of Satellite Professionals International, and BSN-SSPI, the U.K. Chapter of the SSPI. To attend, register at this direct link.
