Neil Perriton of Track24 Defence.
Perriton takes the role of business development manager at the company with responsibilities including global partnership management, international sales and solution development. Perriton joins Ex MoD and NATO communications specialist Giles Peeters at Track24 Defence, which launched in July of 2010. Peeters quickly used the existing Track24 security tracking and risk management expertise, acquired in the aftermath of the Iraq war, to build a beyond line-of-sight (BLOS) blue force tracking solution called SCC Titan.
SCC Titan is broken down into an HQ and a field-ready tactical satellite solution, designed to offer situational awareness and command and control (C2) capability. The solutions are supported by a range of hardware, including Track24 Defence’s bespoke satellite device, The Whisper.
Giles Peeters, Track24 Defence sector director, said, “I’ve been aware of Neil’s hugely impressive work in the field of blue force tracking for a while. Now is the perfect time for him to come on board as our SCC solution is gaining traction with militaries worldwide. His experience and insight will not only be invaluable in bringing new customers to the table but will also help us refine our solution moving forward.”
Perriton’s career history includes an MoD army career in which he completed a commissioning course at Sandhurst Royal Military Academy and served under NATO in the Balkans, before advising on operational planning at Brigade level in Northern Ireland. His commercial experience includes spells at Thales Defence UK, ITT and QinetiQ, where he honed his blue force tracking expertise and worked on the industry renowned Bushman system.
Perriton said, “The industry has been forced to pay attention to the SCC solution as it is cost effective and offers advanced C2 capability. Beyond line-of-sight comms and blue force tracking is a well recognised urgent operational requirement. Without it, it’s almost impossible for commanders to track and control assets outside of a radio bubble. It’s an extremely exciting time in the development of SCC Titan as its proven BLOS C2 capabilities make it a must have for militaries all over the world.”
