
Mats Warstedt
And so, the end of this year will see a change at the top of RUAG Space in Sweden, with Mats Warstedt taking over as head of the Swedish space company and member of the management board of the RUAG Space Division. Warstedt will succeed Bengt Mörtberg following his planned retirement on January 1, 2012. Mörtberg will continue to be at the company’s disposal in an advisory capacity.
“I am delighted that we have found with Mats Warstedt an experienced industry executive to take over from Bengt Mörtberg Mats has a broad knowledge of the international Aerospace market, its technologies and customer needs,” said Peter Guggenbach, CEO RUAG Space. Warstedt began his career at the Saab Group in 1990, where he subsequently held various management positions at Saab Military Aircraft, Saab Aerospace and Saab Barracuda ending up on the company’s corporate management team as Group Senior Vice President Marketing.
He lead international programmes and co-ordinated marketing and sales activities with a large customer base and sales offices around the world. Today Warstedt is President and CEO of Innovativ Vision AB which develops, manufactures, and supplies quality control systems for the wood manufacturing industry. The 49-year-old Warstedt holds a master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from the Royal Technical University, KTH, in Stockholm and a master’s degree in business administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
