NAB… GlobeCast Goes 3D — Orange Company Expansion Has Others Turning Green With Envy

GlobeCast has joined forces with NETIA once again to showcase the group’s integrated solutions across the whole broadcast chain with a shared stand (SU3502) at this year’s NAB. The France Telecom/Orange company, which has recently expanded its worldwide fiber network into Latin America, will be highlighting its latest solutions, including 3D delivery for rights and non-rightsholders at 2010 sporting and special events, as well as the aggregation and delivery of international content. GlobeCast will also be introducing its newly launched global media management team to broadcasters at the show.

New fiber links to Latin America GlobeCast has expanded its next-generation global fiber ring to Latin America with direct access to São Paulo, Brazil and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Blue chip broadcasters and smaller channels alike will now be able to receive the most cost effective solution using both fiber and satellite. The ability to regionalize their feeds and bring content to and from Latin America to the rest of the world is a welcome option in an area where satellite-only distribution can be cost-prohibitive.

GlobeCast launches Media Management teams worldwide GlobeCast has recently launched Media Management teams worldwide to leverage its existing business of content distribution as well as its recent acquisition of Media Asset Management (MAM) specialist NETIA, to provide broadcasters and content creators with full solutions for the management and delivery of their content. GlobeCast’s Content Exchange, NETIA’s Manreo range as well as GlobeCast’s playout and delivery services will be in the spotlight at stand SU3502.
