Gilat Has Turned The Key Providing The ‘Edge’ To Latin America’s Military And Homeland Security

Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. [Nasdaq: GILT] today announced that it has received a multi-million dollar contract to deliver a turnkey broadband communications solution for a major defense agency in Latin America.The new network will be used for border control applications.

Gilat is providing a broadband satellite network solution based on its SkyEdge II high performance platform to enable the delivery of high-speed data, video and voice applications that will serve the military’s different units. Gilat will supply additional equipment as part of the turnkey solution, including solar panels for the remote sites.
