TeamCast is set to launch MHX-3000, a high-end Digital Modulator with the latest state-of-the art Digital Adaptive Pre-correction. In the context where broadcasters are more and more concerned about reducing their Digital Terrestrial Television (DTTV) network OPEX costs and at the same time limiting impact on the environment, it becomes important that new DTTV transmitters are designed to be as energy-efficient as possible.
The global strategy adopted by TeamCast is to always provide the key solutions and technologies that will enable transmitter manufacturers to optimize their own solutions. The MHX-3000 implements the very latest state-of-the-art Digital Adaptive Pre-correction (DAP) algorithm. It has been especially designed to run Digital Transmitters closer to their saturation region, by adapting in real-time the power amplifiers’ inherent nonlinearities as well as minimising the often ignored “Memory Effects” of the amplifier circuitry. The MHX-3000 DAP performance will enable broadcasters to operate DTT and Mobile TV transmitters close to their maximum output power levels, while preserving the radiated signal performance in terms of modulation error ratio (MER) figures and spectrum shoulder levels. The MHX-3000 product is a scalable multi-standard platform with a software up-gradable modulation core. It provides a large choice of network input interfaces including ASI, Streaming IP and Satellite DVB-S/S2.
