HaiVision Network Video today announced that the new MAKITO™ with DVI input is now shipping. Delivering low-latency, full-frame-rate H.264 encoding of HD video (up to 1080p60) or computer graphics resolutions (SXGA up to 1280×1024 60Hz), the new MAKITO supports component analog, DVI, and XGA (RGBHV) inputs. This MAKITO model augments the MAKITO-SDI that was released in 2009 supporting high-definition 3G-SDI and HD-SDI as well as standard-definition SDI, composite, and s-video. The new MAKITO with DVI is unique in providing low-latency H.264 full-frame-rate encoding of computer signals up to 1920×1280 or 1280×1024 at 60 Hz, ideal for delivering high-resolution real-time signage over IP video systems.
