Scopus‘ digital video headend system addresses television, cable, satellite, IPTV, terrestrial, and over-the-top operators utilizing advanced H.264 HD/SD statistical multiplexing, digital turnaround, and open CAS/scrambling systems for digital transmissions. Further, Scopus provides comprehensive capabilities addressing a broad range of requirements such as STB approval and integration, integrated CAS systems, and other integration services.
On display will be their Integrated Receiver Processor (IRP) — Dense Decoder and Descrambler, a platform that combines a dense receiver with a variety of front ends, a dual decoder, a transport stream descrambler, and a powerful re-multiplexer. As a multi-format H.264 and MPEG-2 decoder, the IRP provides decoding for all video formats and resolutions in both SD and HD. As a descrambler, the IRP is an ideal solution for digital turnaround applications, featuring multiple front ends, multiple TS descrambling, and powerful re-multiplexing. Highlighted features are multiple DVB-S/S2, ASI and GbE inputs; a variety of TS outputs including 2xASI and 2xGbE; two integrated DVB common interface modules that allow descrambling of two complete transport streams; regeneration of MPTS to multi-MPTS/SPTS; PID/service filtering with table regeneration, and more.
Then, there’s the Company’s Eldorado Network Management System (NMS), this is the cornerstone of Scopus’ headend solution. The system designed to meet fast-paced changes in digital video headend technologies and formats. The NMS addresses operator, teleport, and broadcaster requirements by managing services and devices across networks, scaling from small headends to large and distributed networks. The system uniquely features IP and ASI routing solutions, a variety of redundancy schemes, drag-and-drop operations for topology and views, easy integration of third-party devices, and more.
