From Jampro Antennas’ headquarters in Sacramento, California to Egyptian Radio & Television (ERTU), the country’s national broadcaster and the Middle East’s largest radio and television broadcaster, which has ordered Jampro antennas and related RF equipment to complete two FM sites. ERTU’s order included two Jampro model JFVD FM vertical dipole flat panel antennas and two Jampro model RCPU patch panel/power splitters and RCCC constant impedance combiners.

“Our vertical dipoles were a wise choice for ERTU for several reasons, the foremost being that its simplicity of design and virtual indestructibility are ideally suited to the brutal sand storms that often occur there,” said Alex Perchevitch, Jampro’s president.
The JFVD antenna is made of heavily hot-dipped galvanized steel and ruggedly built for exceptional endurance and reliable performance in the worst environments. Fiberglass radoms offer even greater protection. Each panel has two dipoles with high gain and low downward radiation. JFVD’s have a long-proven record of excellent bandwidth and pattern stability. Available in omni and directional patterns, it is vertically polarized for FM bands 88 to 108 MHz and has a typical single channel VSWR of 1.1:1 or better.
With facilities throughout the country, ERTU is also the Middle East’s largest television and radio producer. ERTU transmits 11 satellite channels via Nile Sat, as well as nine local TV channels with a total audience of approximately 60 million people.
